Beautiful Boy
Recently I reviewed two books for the Globe and Mail by a father and son, published in tandem, on the topic of crystal meth addiction. The son's is about his addiction and his attempts to kick it, the father's is about how the family dealt with it all. I learned a great deal about the disease of addiction, and particularly what crystal meth can do to a body, which isn't pretty. I also learned about how love, faith and persistence to not give up can save a life.
My review of Tweak by Nic Sheff was published awhile ago (My Methy, Methy Life), Beautiful Boy by his father, David Sheff is in today's Globe:
